Galatea is the leading importer of beer in Sweden and one of the largest suppliers of beer, wine and spirits to our home market. As you probably know, Sweden remains one of the few countries around the world with a government-run monopoly on alcoholic beverages in the take home trade. Simply, that means Sweden is a market alike no other.
Our knowledge about the monopoly, Systembolaget, is one of a kind and many of our employees are former Systembolaget employees. The system is in constant change in how they purchase and evaluate products – as a partner you can feel comfortable that you are always on top of this.
Galateas presence in the HoReCa-sector is growing fast and we are taking market share every month. We are one of few importers with our own sales force covering the whole market geographically. Our close relations with our owner, Martin & Servera, is a big advantage when we want to have nation-wide campaigns and new product launches. Martin & Servera is the leading wholesaler of food- and non-food to the Swedish HoReCa and they have well over 50% of the total restaurants in our market as regular customers.
Our company KGA Logistics is the heart of our business and we are so proud to have a state-of-the-art warehouse only working with beverage. Efficient logistics is “make it or break it” in a low population density country as we act in. KGA can also support us and our partners with re-packing, re-labelling and in other ways be very flexible. This has helped Galatea getting new SKU:s working in the market without long and costly NPD’s for our partners – we make a local product from your market work here at ours.
At Sigtuna Brewhouse we brew our own local craft beer but also do license brews for hand-picked clients. We can also help out with lab tests and other services prior to big Systembolaget launches.
Last but not least, we also have our own division for draught beer equipment and sanitation, Still Sparkling Solutions. We offer everything from standardized installations to hand-made, we can handle tank beer solutions and large events – nothing is impossible.
